Getting rest Saturday
Norby isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.
Analyse
Norby has gone 2-for-9 with four strikeouts through his first two games since returning from the injured list. The Marlins will give him a day to collect himself Saturday while Graham Pauley starts at the hot corner, batting eighth.

One hit, two Ks in season debut
Norby went 1-for-5 in Thursday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
Analyse
Seeing his first MLB game action of the year after beginning the season on the IL due to an oblique strain, Norby struck out twice but did bang a single into left field in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old third baseman hit second Thursday against southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez, and he's likely to have a prominent spot in the order against right-handers as well as the Marlins search for offense. Norby slashed .247/.315/.445 with seven homers over 36 games for Miami last season after being acquired from Baltimore.

Batting second in return from IL
The Marlins reinstated Norby (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Thursday. He'll start at third base and bat second in the Marlins' series finale versus the Diamondbacks.
Analyse
Graham Pauley was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move, clearing the way for Norby to step back in as Miami's primary third baseman. The 24-year-old had been on track to open the season as an everyday player for the Marlins before he strained his left oblique in the Marlins' penultimate spring training game. After a few weeks of rest and rehab, Norby was cleared to head out on a rehab assignment last weekend, and he went 4-for-8 with a solo home run and a pair of walks over three games with Jacksonville. Now healthy, Norby will likely continue to maintain a prominent spot in the Miami lineup against both right- and left-handed pitching.
