Idle for season finale
Walker is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Analyse
With Houston having been officially eliminated from playoff contention following Saturday's action, Walker and other key regulars will sit for the season finale. Victor Caratini will step in at first base in place of Walker, who has hit .238 with 27 home runs, two stolen bases, 88 RBI and 72 runs over 154 games during his first campaign in Houston.

Two more homers in win
Walker went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Angels.
Analyse
Walker's bat has sparked late in the season. He has gone 9-for-25 (.360) over his last six games while smacking four homers in that span, giving him 27 long balls on the year. He's added a .238/.297/.421 slash line with 88 RBI, 72 runs scored, two stolen bases and 24 doubles over 154 contests. His rate stats have been down across the board, but staying relatively healthy has kept his counting stats from dropping too far.

Slugs homer No. 25
Walker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Angels.
Analyse
The veteran first baseman took Kyle Hendricks deep in the fourth inning to open the scoring. Walker had a rough start to his first campaign in Houston, but since the beginning of July he's slashing .261/.316/.467, a performance in line with his last few years with Arizona. Friday's homer was Walker's 25th, a mark he's reached in four straight seasons, and he needs four more RBI in the final two games to reach 90 for the third time in his career.

Tallies three RBI vs. A's
Walker went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional RBI during the Astros' 11-5 win over the Athletics on Thursday.
Analyse
Walker collected an RBI in three separate plate appearances and capped things off with a solo shot to left field in the eighth to give the Astros a 10-run lead. Walker has seemingly broken out of his mini-slump, logging at least one hit in each of his last four games while going 6-for-17 (.353) over that span. He'll look to help the Astros make a final push for the playoffs in the upcoming weekend road series against the Angels.
