Hits first homer with new club
Roden went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-4 win over the Tigers.
Analyse
Roden singled and scored in the first inning before launching his first home run with the Twins in the sixth. In six games since being acquired at the trade deadline, the 25-year-old has gone just 3-for-18 with an 0:8 BB:K. For the year, he's slashing .198/.273/.319 with two home runs, nine RBI and 15 runs scored across 132 plate appearances between Minnesota and Toronto.

Though he'll take a seat with southpaw Joey Cantillo on the hill for Cleveland, Roden could be in line for regular at-bats against righties, at least until one or both of Byron Buxton (rib) and Luke Keaschall (forearm) come off the injured list. After being acquired from the Blue Jays on Thursday, Roden started Minnesota's first two games in Cleveland, going 1-for-10 with a double and a run scored while striking out six times.

Analyse
Roden was initially assigned to St. Paul after being acquired from the Blue Jays on Thursday, but a day later was added to the big-league roster. With the Twins trading away several lineup regulars, Roden could get an extended trial in the outfield over the final two months of the season. The 25-year-old has a .331/.423/.496 slash line with three homers and four stolen bases in 32 games at the Triple-A level this season, but struggled in his first taste of the majors this year with a .589 OPS in 113 plate appearances.
