Johnson defeated Carter Bryant in the final round of Saturday's 2026 AT&T Slam Dunk Contest.
Analysis
Johnson scored 92.8 points in the first round and advanced to the final alongside Carter Bryant (94.8), beating Jaxson Hayes (91.8) and Jase Richardson (88.8). While Bryant delivered the only 50-point dunk of the night during the final round, Johnson impressed with two strong slams, totaling 97.4 points to Bryant's 93.0. Johnson becomes the third Heat player to win the contest, joining Derrick Jones (2020) and Harold Miner (1993, 1995).

Miami recalled Johnson from the G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce on Wednesday.
Analysis
Johnson was able to get some run in with the Skyforce before rejoining the Heat, posting a double-double to the tune of 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt), 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block across 36 minutes in Tuesday's 127-119 G League loss to the Oklahoma City Blue. Johnson has not seen significant playing time in 2026, but he is likely to continue splitting time between the two clubs for the remainder of the season.
