Fades injury report
McCain (recently traded) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Rockets.
Analysis
McCain was traded to Oklahoma City on Wednesday and is set to make his Thunder debut Saturday. The second-year guard will have plenty of competition for minutes when the team is fully healthy, though he could see increased burn right away due to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) and Ajay Mitchell (abdomen) being sidelined.

Heading to OKC
The 76ers traded McCain to the Thunder on Wednesday in exchange for a 2026 Rockets first-round pick and three second-round picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Analysis
McCain will get a fresh start following an injury-riddled beginning to his career. The 21-year-old guard got out of the gates hot during his rookie season before undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee in December 2024. The Duke product later underwent thumb surgery in September 2025 and missed time to begin the 2025-26 campaign. Once healthy, he struggled to carve out a consistent role behind Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe. Now, McCain will provide backcourt depth for Oklahoma City, competing for minutes with the likes of Cason Wallace, Ajay Mitchell and Nikola Topic (groin) once he returns. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) is set to be re-evaluated after the All-Star break, so McCain could see increased playing time right away.

Drains four treys in win
McCain logged 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 124-114 victory over New Orleans.
Analysis
It was another impressive shooting effort from downtown for McCain. The second-year guard has drained at least four three-pointers in three of four games since returning from a G League assignment, averaging 12.3 points, 3.3 threes, 2.0 assists and 1.8 boards in 19.8 minutes during that span while shooting a blistering 59.1 percent (13-for-22) from beyond the arc.
