Detroit recalled Lanier from the G League's Motor City Cruise on Friday.

Analysis

Lanier has continued to play for both the NBA and G League squads since December, although he's usually a second-unit option for the Pistons. In his 16 NBA regular-season games, the guard is currently averaging 0.7 points, 0.2 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 9.6 minutes per contest.

Detroit recalled Lanier from the G League's Motor City Cruise on Saturday.

Analysis

Lanier has returned to the Pistons following another period on assignment with the G League affiliate, for which he scored 25 points and three rebounds during a 44-minute appearance Saturday. Lanier has played a minor role at the NBA level, especially over the last couple of months, logging just nine minutes of play since Nov. 18.
