Retreating to bench
Scheierman won't start against the Pistons on Monday.
Analysis
The second-year swingman got the spot start in Saturday's win over Atlanta due to Payton Pritchard (ankle) being sidelined, but the former will retreat to the second unit Monday, as Pritchard is back in the lineup. In six appearances off the bench so far this month, Scheierman has averaged 2.8 points and 1.2 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per tilt.

Scheierman will make his second start in the last three games, this time due to the absence of Payton Pritchard (ankle). Scheierman didn't do much with his opportunity Monday against the Pacers, finishing the night with two points, three rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes.

Analysis
Scheierman drew a spot start Monday with Jaylen Brown sidelined, but the Creighton product will return to his usual bench role Thursday evening. Scheierman is averaging 2.4 points in 10.3 minutes in his last seven appearances as a reserve.
