Blasts solo home run
Garver went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk in Saturday's loss to the Royals.
Analysis
The designated hitter took Alec Marsh deep in the fifth inning to tie up the score. It was Garver's seventh homer of the season and his second in his last three games. Garver has struggled to the tune of a .180/.292/.348 line thus far, but he may be starting to turn it around with eight RBI and four extra-base hits over his last six games.

Does it all in Thursday's win
Garver went 2-for-2 with an RBI single, a solo home run, two walks and an additional run in a win over the Athletics on Thursday.
Analysis
Garver was essentially a one-man wrecking crew for Seattle, delivering his RBI single in the fourth inning before putting an exclamation point on the shutout victory with his ninth-inning solo blast. While Thursday's performance marked the veteran offseason addition's second two-hit effort and fourth and fifth RBI in the last four games, Garver's first two months-plus in Seattle have been highly disappointing -- he's sitting on a .175 average and .612 OPS through his first 200 plate appearances, while his 30.5 percent strikeout rate is at its highest point since a 23-game sample in the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

Sitting down Wednesday
Garver isn't in the Mariners' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
Analysis
Garver appeared to break out of his slump Sunday with a 2-for-4 performance against the Angels, but he will now get a breather following Tuesday's 0-for-3 outing. Mitch Haniger will fill in as Seattle's designated hitter while batting seventh.

Ends slump Sunday
Garver went 2-for-4 with a three-run double in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Angels.
Analysis
Garver entered Sunday 0-for-20 over his last seven games. His last extra-base hit was May 21, and he hadn't knocked in a run since May 17. He was able to put an end to all of those slumps, delivering a big knock in the eighth inning to give the Mariners some breathing room. The 33-year-old has struggled to get anything going at the plate this year, slashing .170/.276/.309 with five home runs, 17 RBI, 18 runs scored and eight doubles over 192 plate appearances as Seattle's primary designated hitter.
