On base four times in return
Young went 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Mets.
Analysis
The center fielder had missed the prior two games due to swelling in his throwing hand, but Young was the Nationals' most effective offensive weapon in his return, collecting half of the team's six hits on the night. The 24-year-old offers basically no power -- his last extra-base hit was a double on May 19 -- but through 49 games this season he's batting .282 with 17 steals, 25 runs and 16 RBI.

Returns to Washington lineup
Young (hand) will start in center field and bat ninth in Tuesday's game versus the Mets.
Analysis
Young missed two starts with swelling in his right hand but is feeling well enough to give it a go Tuesday against left-hander David Peterson and the Mets. The speedy Young is tied for fourth in baseball this season with his 17 stolen bases.

Held out of lineup again
Young (hand) remains out of the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Mets.
Analysis
Young exited Saturday's game against the Guardians with swelling in his right hand and has now been out of the lineup for two straight tilts. He is considered day-to-day. Lane Thomas will again slide over to cover center center field, while Jesse Winker and Eddie Rosario will flank him in left field and right field, respectively.

Has hand swelling
Young is day-to-day with swelling in his throwing hand, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports Saturday.
Analysis
The swelling occurred during early portions of Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Guardians and Young opted to report it to a team trainer during a pitching change in the sixth inning, resulting in his removal from the game. His status for Sunday's game remains up in the air and won't be known until closer to first pitch.

Exits with trainer
Young was removed from Saturday's game against the Guardians with an undisclosed injury, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis
A trainer tended to Young while the Nationals made a pitching change in the bottom of the sixth inning before walking Young off the field. Eddie Rosario will fill center field while Joey Gallo enters the game in left. It's unclear exactly what type of injury Young is dealing with, but we should learn more later Saturday.

Steals 17th bag
Young went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's win over Atlanta.
Analysis
The 24-year-old center fielder has heated up again, batting .345 (10-for-29) over the last 10 games. Young remains limited as a fantasy asset -- he has yet to hit a homer this year and has a 4.5 percent walk rate -- but he tends to take full advantage when he does get on base. He's slashing .279/.338/.329 through 46 big-league games with 17 steals in 20 attempts, plus 14 RBI and 25 runs.
