NBA All-Star Weekend is not just a highlight in the league’s calendar; it’s a celebration of basketball’s brightest talents and a festival of high-flying dunks, sharpshooting, and skillful playmaking. 

This year, Sorare NBA is elevating the All-Star experience, offering our community more ways to collect, play, and win during one of the most fun events of the NBA season. Read on for all the exciting details!

Gameplay

All-Star Saturday Night 

Don’t miss our special Saturday Night competition, an opportunity to earn points based on the outcomes of the Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest, and Dunk Contest.

• Scarcities: Common, Mixed
• Points Cap: No Cap, no MVP
• Scoring: Players earn 50 points for each event they win, 30 points for each event they finish second, and 10 points for each event they participate in. Tiebreakers are determined by time of entry, so be sure to get those lineups in!

All-Star Game

Aligning with the All-Star game’s spirit, we’re introducing gameplay that mirrors the fun of the night. Look out for a special one-day event for the All-Star Game across all scarcities.

• Scarcities: Common, Limited, Rare, Super Rare, Unique
• Current Season Card Requirement
  • Limited: Three (3) 2023-24 cards, Limited cards only
  • Rare: Two (2) 2023-24 cards, Rare cards only
  • Super Rare: One (1) 2023-24 card, Super Rare cards only
  • Unique: One (1) 2023-24 Unique Card. Managers can use a mix of Unique & Super Rare Cards. A minimum two (2) Unique Cards are required
• Points Cap: No Cap, No MVP
• Scoring: Standard scoring

Please note that all players can be used in a lineup, even non-All-Star Weekend participants. Players not participating in All Star Weekend will score zero in both competitions.

Special Edition Cards

Get ready to take your Sorare collection to new heights! We’re thrilled to introduce our exclusive All-Star Special Edition Cards, alongside our Rising Star Special Editions! These will be available through both auctions and as rewards.

These cards will only be available on the Sorare Marketplace from Feb. 9 – 19.

2024 All-Star Collections

For the first time, Sorare is introducing East and West All-Star Team Collections, bringing a new dimension to the Collection Game. These collections feature players with “All-Star Edition” Special Edition Cards and/or those on the All-Star Game rosters, offering a unique challenge for our Managers to showcase their collecting prowess.

All-Star Collection Rules:

• Players eligible for these collections must have either an “All-Star Edition” Special Edition card minted or be on the active roster for the NBA All-Star Game
• All editions of an eligible player’s card are considered for the All-Star Collection 
• Cards included must be from the 2023-24 season
• Eligible player cards will count toward both the All-Star Collection and their standard Team Collection
• All-Star Team Collections follow the same rules as standard Team Collections
• Collection Bonuses will not stack for cards in multiple collections; the higher bonus from either collection will apply each Game Week

Please note that the exact composition of All-Star collections is subject to change throughout All-Star Weekend due to potential late replacements being called up.

All-Star content coming your way! The All-Star Weekend Creator Challenge will pit Sorare NBA Managers and creators from the Eastern and Western hemispheres against one another as the NBA All-Star Game returns to an East-West format.

In addition, Sorare NBA ambassador Rob “World Wide Wob” Perez will outline his top rising NBA stars ahead of All-Star Weekend to help inform Manager roster decisions.
