What Happens to Scores when a Game is Postponed or Suspended?
Weather and delays are a part of baseball—here's how we keep your Sorare experience fair and transparent.
One Game, One Competition
Each MLB game only counts in one Sorare competition, regardless of when it's rescheduled.
Understanding Game Status Types
Postponed Games: The game never started and was moved to a later date.
Sorare Action: Postponed games are always moved to a new fixture. They will never remain in their original competition slot.
Suspended Games : The game began but was stopped and scheduled to resume on a later date.
Sorare Action: Suspended games typically stay in their original fixture. Sorare has discretion to either:
- Keep the competition open until the game's completion (counting all stats)
- Close the fixture early (using only pre-suspension stats)
Important: During the regular season, any scoring that occurs after a suspended game resumes will never be included in a future fixture—it remains tied to the original competition.
How Sorare Manages Suspended or Delayed Games
When a game is suspended, Sorare may choose to:
- Keep the competition open until the game finishes, counting all statistics from the entire game
- Close the competition as originally scheduled, using only statistics recorded before the delay
These decisions are made at Sorare's discretion. Generally, competitions remain open for up to 24 hours before being manually closed.
Missions and Deadlines
Missions tied to specific games are evaluated based on their original scheduled end time. If your player achieves a feat after the original deadline has passed, it will not count toward mission completion.
