Nursing pectoral injury
Woo was pulled from his start Friday against Houston due to pectoral tightness, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Analyse
Woo pitched five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out seven batters before his pec forced him to come out of the game while he was warming up for the sixth. He's expected to undergo an MRI on Saturday to determine the severity of his injury, at which point more will be known about his chances to make his next start -- tentatively scheduled to come Thursday against the Rockies.

Exits with trainer
Woo was removed from Friday's game against the Astros with an apparent injury, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Analyse
Woo had made it through five innings of shutout ball Friday, but a Mariners trainer made the decision to pull the right-hander while he was warming up for the sixth. It isn't immediately clear what is bothering Woo, but the team should provide some details regarding his condition relatively soon.

Sets personal best in strikeouts
Woo (14-7) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 13 over six innings to earn the win over the Angels on Saturday.
Analyse
Woo's 13 strikeouts were the most he's had in any game in his big-league career, and the first time he's even reached double digits. He gave up both runs in the second inning, including one on a solo home run by Jo Adell. Woo has won six of eight starts since the beginning of August, allowing just 15 runs over 48.2 innings with a 64:10 K:BB in that in that span. He is now at a 3.02 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 191:35 K:BB through 181.2 innings over 29 starts this season. He is lined up to make his next start in a pivotal road series versus the Astros.
