Shines as OKC reaches NBA FInals
Gilgeous-Alexander supplied 34 points (14-25 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight assists, seven rebounds and two steals over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 124-94 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.
Analysis
Gilgeous-Alexander stuffed the stat sheet, leading the Thunder to their first NBA Finals appearance since 2012 with an efficient showing. The 2024-25 NBA MVP delivered an impressive performance over five matchups with the Timberwolves and was named series MVP. The 26-year-old averaged 31.4 points, 8.2 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals across 36.4 minutes per game during the series.

40-point performance fuels victory
Gilgeous-Alexander ended Monday's 128-126 victory over Minnesota in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals with 40 points (13-30 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 12-14 FT), nine rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 40 minutes.
Analysis
Gilgeous-Alexander scored a career playoff-high 40 points, pushing the Thunder to within one win of wrapping up the Western Conference Finals. Following a 14-point effort in Saturday's heavy loss, the newly-crowned MVP fell just one rebound short of a triple-double. He now has at least 30 points in six of the past seven games and has consistently proven himself on the biggest stage. The series will now shift back to Oklahoma City, where the Thunder will look to wrap things up.

Bounces back in Game 4
Gilgeous-Alexander totaled 40 points (13-30 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 12-14 FT), nine rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 40 minutes during Monday's 128-126 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
Analysis
Gilgeous-Alexander managed to redeem himself following a sluggish 14-point showing in Saturday's blowout loss. The 2024-25 MVP made clutch shots down the stretch to keep his squad in front, which included several free throws in the final minute of play. He also dished out double-digit assists for the first time this postseason and fell one board shy of a triple-double. Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams accounted for 74 of the team's 128 points in a statement win by the Thunder.

Disappears in Game 3 defeat
Gilgeous-Alexander ended Saturday's 143-101 loss to Minnesota in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals with 14 points (4-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, six assists and one block over 28 minutes.
Analysis
While it would be a stretch to say Gilgeous-Alexander was the one to blame for the team's overall struggles in this blowout loss, the just-named MVP never got it going Saturday. There have been a few instances in which Gilgeous-Alexander has struggled during the playoffs, and when that happens, he tends to bounce back relatively quickly. That means he'll aim to turn things around in Game 4 of the series Monday. This performance snapped a streak of five consecutive outings with at least 31 points, and it was also his worst scoring output in the current postseason run.

Tables game-high 38 points
Gilgeous-Alexander chipped in 38 points (12-21 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 13-15 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and three steals over 42 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 win over the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Analysis
Fresh off being named this year's Most Valuable Player, Gilgeous-Alexander went to work, dismantling the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. It marks his fifth straight game with at least 30 points, with his last three games being blowout victories. Oklahoma City is now just two wins away from reaching the NBA Finals, an achievement that seems somewhat fitting given its dominant season.
