Retreats to bench
Gueye isn't in the starting five for Saturday's game versus the Pacers, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Analysis
Gueye will be replaced by Dominick Barlow in the starting lineup Saturday. Gueye is averaging 2.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10.0 minutes during his three appearances coming off the bench this season.

Another solid showing as starter
Gueye posted eight points (4-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three steals, two rebounds, one assist and one block in 16 minutes during Thursday's 137-115 loss to the Cavaliers.
Analysis
With Bogdan Bogdanovic (personal) out again and Jalen Johnson (shoulder) officially done for the year, Gueye got another spot start. He delivered once again, nabbing a career high in steals and logging contributions across the stat sheet. He's now averaging 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds on 50 percent shooting as a starter. However, Gueye's already modest fantasy value could dip once Bogdanovic returns and Zaccharie Risacher (adductor) sheds his minutes restriction. Gueye's next chance to start comes Saturday against the Pacers.

Drops 11 points in spot start
Gueye racked up 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt), seven rebounds and one block in 22 minutes during Tuesday's 100-96 loss to Houston.
Analysis
Gueye was unexpectedly named a starter Tuesday, filling in for Zaccharie Risacher, who was resting on the second night of a back-to-back. It was the first start of Gueye's career and just the fourth time he has appeared in a game all season. There is no reason to think he will step into a consistent role assuming the Hawks can stay relatively healthy.

Gueye made his first appearance since Nov. 4 on Monday and recorded four points (2-9 FG, 0-6 3Pt), four rebounds, two steals and one assist. Gueye will now make back-to-back NBA appearances for the first time this season.

The Hawks recalled Gueye from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Monday.
Analysis
Gueye will suit up Monday for Atlanta's game against Minnesota, but even with the Hawks ruling out four players and listing three others as questionable, the second-year big man may not crack head coach Quin Snyder's rotation. The 22-year-old possesses a spot on Atlanta's 15-man roster but has played just six total minutes over two appearances all season.
