Struggles in loss to Dallas
Murray contributed nine points (3-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 120-106 Play-In Game loss to the Mavericks.
Analysis
Outside of some near double-double performances in the final stretch of the regular season, Murray's 2024-25 campaign came to an end in disappointing fashion, as he was not much of a factor in the loss to the Mavericks in the Play-In Tournament. However, the Iowa product improved in the rebounding category during the regular season, averaging a career-high 6.7 boards per game, which helped him stay in the starting rotation for Sacramento and could result in a more significant role with the team next season.

Scores nine points in return
Murray (back) amassed nine points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two steals and one assist across 32 minutes during Friday's 101-100 loss to the Clippers.
Analysis
Murray returned to the hardwood following a three-game absence due to a back injury, and though he didn't operate with any major minute restrictions, his statistical output was disappointing. The 39-42 Kings are locked in as one of the four teams in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament, but Sacramento will still need to beat the Suns on Sunday in order to secure the No. 9 seed and a home matchup with the 39-42 Mavericks. With that in mind, Murray should be in store for a normal minutes load in the regular-season finale.

Cleared to play
Murray (back) is available for Friday's game against the Clippers.
Analysis
Murray was able to shake off a questionable tag and will be returning from a three-game absence. With Murray back in the mix, Trey Lyles is likely to lose a considerable amount of playing time for the Kings.
