Continues hot streak Saturday
Brunson racked up 34 points (15-29 FG, 4-11 3Pt), three rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes during Saturday's 128-125 victory over Atlanta.
Analysis
Brunson has scored 34 points in back-to-back games, and he's reached the 30-point plateau in seven of his previous nine outings, so his role as the Knicks' go-to scoring threat is set in stone. Erupts for 34 against Cavs
Brunson totaled 34 points (10-25 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 8-10 FT), one rebound, four assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Thursday's 126-124 win over the Cavaliers.
Analysis
The star point guard led the Knicks in scoring while engaged in a fantastic Christmas Day duel with Donovan Mitchell, who also scored 34 for Cleveland. Brunson's performance was even more impressive considering he sat out New York's last game Tuesday with a minor ankle issue. He's scored more than 20 points in nine straight appearances, averaging 32.4 points, 6.4 assists, 3.6 threes, 3.3 boards and 1.0 steals over that stretch.

Playing Christmas Day
Brunson (ankle) will be available for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Analysis
Brunson was held out of Tuesday's loss to the Timberwolves due to a lingering right ankle injury, but he will make his return to the lineup Christmas Day, which means Tyler Kolek will revert to the bench. Across his nine outings in December, Brunson has averaged 30.3 points on 49.0 percent shooting (including 38.0 percent from three on 7.9 3PA/G), 7.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 steals over 36.9 minutes per game.
