Deal being restructured
Spencer and the Grizzlies agreed to a four-year, $10.5 million deal, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Analysis
Spencer previously agreed to a two-year, $4.5 million deal, but the Grizzlies were able to restructure it after recent moves inside the organization. The deal will now include three fully guaranteed years for the wing. In his second NBA season, Spencer will likely be fighting for minutes at the edge of the rotation.

Spencer racked up 17 points (6-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Saturday's 96-86 Summer League win against the Trail Blazers.
Analysis
Spencer had another strong offensive performance, dropping 15 or more points for the second straight game in the Summer League. The 24-year-old played in 25 regular-season games for Memphis during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 4.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 10.1 minutes per game.

Spencer racked up 15 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes during Friday's Summer League 92-78 loss to the Celtics.
Analysis
After sitting during Tuesday's game, Spencer was one of four players for the Grizzlies to crack double digits in the scoring column. GG Jackson (16), Armando Bacot (14) and Jaylen Wells (13) also made an impact offensively against Boston.

Won't play vs. Philly
Spencer (rest) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
Analysis
Spencer joins Jaylen Wells and Javon Small as players who will rest for Memphis on Tuesday. Spencer hit seven three-pointers in the team's loss to the Jazz on Monday, finishing with 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.
