Struggles on Opening Night

Adebayo posted nine points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-10 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 116-97 loss to Orlando.

Analysis

Adebayo played just 26 minutes during the Heat's regular-season opener, as the game started to get out of hand in the second half. While the 27-year-old big man seems set to take more than his 0.6 three-point attempts per game from last season, he was unable to connect from downtown against Orlando. Adebayo tied Jimmy Butler for a game-low minus-30 point differential.

Anchoring starters Wednesday

Adebayo is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's season opener versus Orlando.

Analysis

Adebayo is joined by Terry Rozier, Tyler Herro, Jimmy Butler and Nikola Jovic to comprise the first unit for Miami on Opening Night. Adebayo averaged 18.8 points and 9.3 rebounds across four contests versus Orlando last season.

Set to play against Orlando

Adebayo (rest) is available for Wednesday's game versus the Magic.

Analysis

Adebayo will return to action Wednesday alongside most of the team's starters after sitting out Miami's preseason finale for rest purposes. The 27-year-old big man has shown an improved outside shot during the preseason and will likely look to increase his average of 0.6 three-point attempts per contest from last season.
