Essence will not expire this offseason – yes, you heard that right. That includes the Essence you’ve already earned and all the Essence you’ll collect throughout the playoffs.

Essence is your tool for crafting cards—and now it carries over into next season, giving you a head start on building your dream gallery.

Daily Gameplay meets the NBA Playoffs

Daily Gameplay is back for the entire NBA Playoffs, with a few key adjustments to reflect the unique postseason format:

• Cap 120 + MVP every day. No rotating rules.
• All 5 scarcities: Common, Limited, Rare, Super Rare, Unique.
• 4 In-Season cards required for Limited+ entries.
• Entry limits: 1 entry per day per scarcity

Daily competitions now reward both cards and Essence for top performances. We’re also saying goodbye to Reward Boxes and Market Credit rewards—Playoff rewards will be more immediate.

Additionally, lineups in Daily Gameplay will also contribute to this year’s Championship Chase.

The Championship Chase is Back

The NBA Playoffs demand nightly excellence from the league’s best. The Championship Chase does the same for Sorare Managers.

This year’s Chase challenges you to compete in Daily Gameplay, rack up top scores, and climb a cumulative leaderboard packed with exclusive rewards.

How it works

The Championship Chase is split into three rounds:

1. Round 1: Play-In through First Round
2. Round 2: Conference Semifinals
3. Round 3: Conference Finals through NBA Finals

For each round, your top 4 daily scores will count toward your cumulative leaderboard ranking.

In addition to rewards each night, Managers will be competing to climb a cumulative leaderboard stocked with prizes

The 2025 NBA Playoffs introduce Missions to Sorare NBA—a new, dynamic way to earn rewards every single day.

Every night is a new mission. Whether you’re collecting, composing, or chasing cash, there’s always a new objective. Complete the mission. Get rewarded.

• Collect – Collect Players from 2024-25 Playoff Teams and earn Essence to craft cards.
• Play – Log in, set your lineup, and get a daily Essence reward. Plus, pick breakout players each night for extra rewards, including cash.
• Win – Hit performance thresholds with your lineups and win Essence

With Missions, we’re bringing more ways to win every night!

Weekly Competitions

While the Championship Chase is our marquee Playoff event, Managers can still compete in multi-day Weekly Competitions that mirror the rhythm of the OG Sorare NBA experience.

• GW52: Play-In Tournament (Apr 15 – 18)
• GW53: First Round Pt. 1 (Apr 19 – 24)
• GW54: First Round Pt. 2 (Apr 25 – May 4)
• GW55: Conference Semifinals (May 5 – TBD)
• GW56: Conference Finals (May TBD)
• GW59: NBA Finals (Jun 5 – TBD)

Weekly competitions do not count toward the Championship Chase leaderboard.

We’ll run both In-Season and Classic versions for all scarcities in the Cap 120 + MVP format.

This postseason, we’re dropping a full set of NBA Playoffs Special Edition Cards—celebrating the 16 teams chasing a title (Play-In teams excluded).

Here’s what’s coming:

• Team-Specific Collage Designs featuring team colors, symbols, and heritage in a bold graphic style
• MVP Hero Cards with custom-illustrated action shots of each team’s top player
• Animated Finals Editions for the two teams that reach the NBA Finals
