No injury after short start
Pepiot was pulled from Thursday's start against Cleveland after two innings but did not suffer an injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis
Pepiot labored through two innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one. He only threw 38 pitches, though the Rays may be opting to manage his workload after he threw only 64.2 total innings in 2023.

Analysis
Pepiot tossed five scoreless frames before surrendering a solo home run to Cedric Mullins in the sixth. The 27-year-old has been taken deep in four consecutive starts but has yielded two earned runs or fewer in eight of his past 10 outings overall. On the season, he owns a 3.66 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 118:40 K:BB across 113 innings and for a road matchup with the Guardians next week.
