Notches 21st save

Iglesias struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 21st save of the season in a 1-0 win over the White Sox.

Analysis

All eight of Iglesias' pitches found the strike zone in a ruthless performance from the veteran closer. The right-hander held a 6.75 ERA as late as June 5, but since then Iglesias has been one of the best late-inning arms in baseball, posting a 1.52 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 33:4 K:BB over his last 29.2 innings while converting 13 of 14 save chances.

Extends scoreless streak in save

Iglesias picked up the save in Tuesday's 11-10 win over the White Sox, throwing a clean ninth inning with no strikeouts.

Analysis

That's now 12 consecutive scoreless innings for Iglesias, who has successfully converted each of his nine save chances during that span. The veteran right-hander had briefly lost his grip on the closer job at one point amid a dismal start to the campaign -- he had a 6.75 ERA through June 5 -- but he's been well back on track for over two months now. Over his last 28.2 innings, Iglesias boasts a 1.57 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 32:4 K:BB.

Secures 19th save

Iglesias allowed a hit during a scoreless inning and earned a save over Cleveland on Sunday. He struck out two.

Analysis

Iglesias tossed 12 of 17 pitches for strikes and made quick work of the Guardians in the ninth inning. He retired three straight batters after Bo Naylor knocked a leadoff single. Iglesias has converted eight straight saves during his active 11-inning scoreless streak. For the year, he owns a 4.01 ERA with a 57:10 K:BB through 51.2 frames. Iglesias has converted 19 saves in 24 chances.

Flawless for 18th save

Iglesias picked up the save Friday against Atlanta, striking out one during a perfect ninth inning.

Analysis

Called on to protect a two-run lead, Iglesias shut down the heart of the Guardians lineup to secure the shutout victory and his 18th save of the season. The veteran closer extended his scoreless streak to 10 consecutive appearances and has re-established stability at the back end of Atlanta's bullpen, converting each of his last seven save chances. Through 50.2 innings on the year, he owns a 4.09 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 55:10 K:BB.
