Needs longer than minimum IL stay
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Monday that Stroman is still "feeling some things" in his injured left knee and is likely to require more than 15 days on the injured list, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
Analysis
Stroman began playing catch a few days ago, but he's still not 100 percent and it's not clear when he might be ready to throw off a mound again. The right-hander is eligible to return in late April, but it sounds like it will be at least early May and perhaps longer before he'll be ready to return.

Resumes throwing
Manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Stroman (knee) has begun playing catch, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis
Stroman received a cortisone shot over the weekend to address the inflammation in his left knee, and Friday appears to be the first time he's done any sort of throwing since he landed on the injured list Saturday. There's still no telling how much time the 33-year-old will need for a full recovery, though the Yankees may not be in much of a hurry to bring him back after he began the year with an 11.57 ERA and 2.04 WHIP across 9.1 innings over his first three starts.
