Escapes with seventh save
Hader allowed one hit and one walk in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays. He struck out two batters.
Analysis
Hader put himself in a bit of hot water when he gave up a walk and a double, but he bounced back to fan Alejandro Kirk before getting Myles Straw to fly out to center field to close out Wednesday's contest. He needed 23 pitches (16 strikes) to get through the ninth inning, but with an off-day Thursday the 31-year-old southpaw should be available for Friday's series opener against the Royals. Hader has not yielded a run since Opening Day against the Mets and boasts a 0.69 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB over 13 innings.

Picks up sixth save
Hader allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Padres. He did not strike out or walk a batter.
Analysis
Hader failed to record a strikeout for just the second time this season, but he still threw 11 of his 15 pitches for strikes en route to his sixth save in as many chances this year. After giving up a run Opening Day, the left-hander has an 11:1 K:BB across 10 scoreless frames in his past eight outings.

Locks down fifth save
Hader struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his fifth save of the season in a 6-4 win over the Padres.
Analysis
The southpaw closer needed 10 pitches (seven strikes) to mow down San Diego's 9-1-2 hitters. Hader has looked like his usual dominant self to begin 2025, converting all five of his save chances and posting a 0.90 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB through 10 innings.
