Picks up sixth win

Hader (6-6) didn't allow a baserunner in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win Monday against Boston.

Analysis

Hader entered the game in the ninth inning with the score knotted at 4-4. He turned in his 10th consecutive scoreless appearance -- covering 10.1 innings -- during which he's maintained a 12:3 K:BB while also recording seven saves and two wins. Though Hader has a relatively inflated 3.36 ERA for the season, his 0.91 WHIP is his lowest mark since 2021.

Slams door for save

Hader struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning and earned a save against the White Sox on Sunday.

Analysis

Hader carved through the top of the White Sox order with ease to pick up his 27th save of the year. Despite some shakiness throughout the year, he's now converted 27 straight save chances since blowing his first opportunity as an Astro on April 2. Hader is currently riding a 9.1-inning scoreless streak, lowering his season ERA to 3.42 alongside a terrific 84:18 K:BB through 55.1 frames.

Grabs extra-inning win

Hader (5-6) struck out three over two scoreless and hitless innings to earn the extra-inning win over the Rays on Wednesday.

Analysis

Bryan Abreu gave up the tying run in the eighth inning, but Hader was sterling in the ninth and 10th frames to extend his scoreless streak to 8.1 innings. He's allowed just three runs over his last 15.1 innings, all of which came in a single appearance July 29 versus the Pirates. Hader is at a 3.48 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 82:18 K:BB while converting 26 of 27 save chances through 54.1 innings this season.
