Not in Monday's lineup
Soler (groin) is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.
Analysis
Soler aggravated a groin injury over the weekend and will miss a second straight start. He had been set to undergo additional testing Monday, and the results of that exam haven't been divulged. The Angels will need to clear a roster spot once LaMonte Wade reports to the team, which could come as soon as Tuesday. It's possible Soler going on the 10-day injured list will be that roster move, but for now he is considered day-to-day.

Set for additional testing
Soler, who is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, is going to get more tests Monday on his injured groin, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis
Soler first hurt his groin Wednesday against Boston but was back in the lineup Friday. However, the veteran slugger exited during the first inning Saturday due to a flare-up of the issue and remains on the bench for the series finale versus Seattle. Soler said Sunday that he doesn't know if he'll need to go on the IL, so Monday's tests should give a better idea of the severity of the issue.

Groin issue resurfaces
Soler was removed from Saturday's game against the Mariners due to groin tightness.
Analysis
Soler exited Wednesday's contest versus the Red Sox with groin tightness before returning to the lineup Friday, but he appears to have aggravated the injury Saturday. The Angels will likely exercise more caution after the second occurrence of the injury, and the veteran slugger should be considered day-to-day until the severity of the issue is disclosed.

Pulled Saturday
Soler exited Saturday's game against the Mariners after the first inning for unspecified reasons, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis
There was no reason disclosed for Soler's removal. However, he dealt with groin tightness earlier in the week, so it's possible he aggravated the issue.

In Friday's lineup
Soler (groin) is starting in right field and batting fifth against the Mariners on Friday, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Analysis
Soler was removed from Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to groin tightness, but it doesn't appear to be a lingering issue as he's back in the lineup for Friday's American League West clash. Soler has slashed .200/.279/.345 with two home runs and eight RBI in 61 plate appearances over his last 15 games.

Exits with tight groin
Soler was removed from Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to groin tightness.
Analysis
Soler went 1-for-1 with a walk and a base hit before Matthew Lugo came on to replace him in right field in the bottom of the third inning. The severity of Soler's groin injury isn't yet known, and the Angels could send him in for further tests before an update on his status is provided ahead of Friday's series opener versus the Mariners.

Leaves with apparent injury
Soler was removed from Wednesday's game in Boston in the third inning with an undisclosed injury, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Analysis
The Angels haven't provided word on what exactly happened with Soler, but he was replaced by Matthew Lugo in right field before the bottom of the third inning. Soler had an infield single and drew a walk in his two plate appearances before departing. The Angels should have an update on his condition soon.
