Makes impact off bench in win
Taylor went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an RBI double and a second run scored in Saturday's 8-6 win over the Mariners. He was also hit by two pitches.
Analysis
Jorge Soler (groin) was pulled from the game early, so Taylor filled in as the right fielder. He made an impact right away with a second-inning homer and also plated the tying run one frame later. Should Soler miss any time, Taylor would be an option to fill in until Mike Trout is ready to play in right field. Taylor is slashing .220/.258/.356 with one homer, five RBI, 10 runs scored and a stolen base over 62 plate appearances between the Angels and the Dodgers this season.

Absent from Saturday's lineup
Taylor is not in Saturday's lineup against the Mariners.
Analysis
Taylor had started three straight games at second base entering Saturday's matchup. However, he'll head to the bench Saturday with Kevin Newman entering the lineup to play third base, shifting Luis Rengifo to second base.

Notches steal
Taylor went 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 5-4 win over the Mariners.
Analysis
This was Taylor's first multi-hit effort of the season. He has gone 4-for-21 with a walk and eight strikeouts over seven games since signing with the Angels after he was released by the Dodgers in mid-May. Taylor has contributed a steal, three RBI, eight runs scored and four doubles over 57 plate appearances this season. He'll likely continue to serve in a reserve role during his time with the Angels.

Operating as reserve
Taylor is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis
Taylor had picked up starts in each of his first three games upon signing with the Angels last Monday, but after going 1-for-9 in those contests, he appears to have faded into a reserve role. He'll be on the bench Monday for the third time in four games while the Angels run out a starting outfield of Taylor Ward, Jo Adell and Jorge Soler from left to right.
