Continues to pile up RBI

Naylor went 2-for-4 with four RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over Minnesota.

Analysis

Naylor matched a career high in RBI, extending his hitting streak to seven games as well. The catcher is also riding a four-game RBI streak, during which he's totaled 10 of his 42 RBI for the season. Naylor is certainly getting hot at the right time for the playoff-hopeful Guardians, batting .302 over 43 at-bats in the month of September despite hitting a dismal .191 for the campaign.

Guardians' insurance provider

Naylor went 1-for-5 with two RBI in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Tigers.

Analysis

Naylor picked a good time to extend his hit streak to six games, when he stroked a two-out, two-run single in the top of the ninth inning to give the Guardians insurance runs. The catcher, who is batting just .188 this season, has gone 8-for-22 with three doubles, one home run and seven RBI during his six-game streak. Cleveland, which is 2.5 games outside a playoff spot, has won all six games in its fight to sneak into the posteason.

Carries offense in win

Naylor went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 3-2 victory over the White Sox.

Analysis

The Cleveland backstop plated all of his team's runs, capped by a 375-foot solo shot off Chicago reliever Brandon Eisert in the seventh. Naylor has found a groove in September, as he's batting .310 (9-for-29) with a homer, four doubles, six runs scored and four RBI this month. Overall, the 25-year-old is now slashing .187/.281/.362 with 12 homers, 42 runs scored and 35 RBI across 377 total plate appearances.
