We sincerely apologise for this season’s issues with K League 1 coverage.

In March, our data provider informed us that for the foreseeable future, full player data (Coverage level 13) for K League 1 matches will update within 48 hours after full-time for each match. This means that we have been unable to deliver real-time stats for K League 1 games. There have also been instances where due to technical issues, our data provider was unable to offer full coverage for specific games.

As a reminder of our rules, when we do not have full player data coverage for our scoring matrix, players are scored for the following actions only: 

Goals 

Assists

Cards 

Clean sheets (goalkeepers) 

Starter / Sub points

While we would have loved to offer more transparency as we worked towards solutions these past three months, we have to navigate and maintain the integrity of our partnerships. 

Following recent progress in our search for solutions, we would like to offer you an update. 

For both contractual and internal process reasons, our historical data provider is no longer able to cover K League 1 matches in real time. For many weeks, we have been working on solutions with our data provider and the K League, with a common desire to offer our community the best possible experience. Unfortunately, no solution could be found. However, our data provider has committed to maintain K League 1 coverage in its current form moving forward. 

While discussions with our partners were ongoing, we investigated the possibility of working with new data providers for K League 1 coverage only. Most providers were unable to meet our coverage data requirements. However, we recently made a breakthrough with a data provider that has committed to delivering data to the required standards needed for full K League 1 coverage on Sorare. We are in discussions with the new provider and will begin internal testing soon to assess the consistency and quality of the new data feed. 

Maintaining a scoring consistency across all leagues is a priority and we wish to test and compare stats before we make a decision on how to proceed. We will keep you updated on the outcome of the testing phase as soon as we can. Should the outcome prove negative, we will continue coverage with the existing set-up.

New Temporary Game Week Deadline 📅
While we are in this testing phase, we are exceptionally moving Game Week deadlines to increase the likelihood of having full coverage for K League 1 games that fall too close to a Game Week closing. We will temporarily move Game Week deadlines from 16:00 CET to 12:00 CET (10:00 AM ET to 6:00 AM ET) until Champion Europe returns on August 11th. 

From Game Week 388 (Tuesday 11th of July at 12:00 PM CET) to Game Week 396 included, Game Weeks will open and close at 12:00 pm CET. GW396 will exclusively start at 12:00 CET / 06:00 ET but will finish at 16:00 CET / 10:00 AM ET.
