Wolf racked up 13 points (2-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 7-9 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 138-100 loss to the Pistons.

Wolf didn't have his best shooting performance, but making seven of his nine trips to the charity stripe allowed him to salvage his scoring output. The rookie out of Michigan also ended two boards shy of recording what would've been his first double-double since Jan. 11. Wolf has been trending in the right direction of late, scoring in double digits in six of his last eight games despite coming off the bench in all but one of those outings.

However, the rookie slides back to a bench role with the Nets' leading scorer returning Tuesday. Nonetheless, with Day'Ron Sharpe (thumb) and Ziaire Williams (illness) sidelined, Wolf should still see a solid role as a reserve.

Wolf shifted into the starting lineup, replacing Michael Porter, who was given the night off for rest purposes. Wolf fell one rebound short of what would have been just the second double-double of his career, while also managing to add a pair of defensive stats. While this was an encouraging performance, it's hard to view him as anything more than a stream or stash guy, given the fact that his playing time is wildly unpredictable.

Wolf logged fewer than 20 minutes for the second straight game, continuing what has been an unpredictable two-week stretch. In eight appearances during that time, he has averaged 10.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers, barely putting up top-180 value. Although it seems as though Wolf should be ascending, it appears as though the Nets' coaching staff has other ideas, at least for now.
