Resumes baseball activities
Meckler (concussion) has been cleared to resume baseball activities, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Meckler landed on the 7-day concussion injured list Friday after being struck by a pitch in the head Thursday, and he's since been given the green light to resume workouts and some baseball activities. It remains to be seen whether he'll be ready to come off the injured list Friday, though it's a positive sign that he's starting to ramp back up.

The Angels placed Meckler on the 7-day concussion IL, retroactive to Aug. 21, on Saturday.

Meckler is batting .273 (15-for-55) in August, though he's also struck out 13 times over 16 games this month. The outfielder has mostly worked in left field, though he can slide over to right field if Josh Lowe is sitting out.
