Goes deep again Thursday
Susac went 1-for-3 with a home run and three total RBI in a 4-1 victory versus San Diego on Thursday.
Analiz
Susac belted a two-run homer in the second inning and added a sacrifice fly in the fifth. After going homerless across his first 44 career MLB games, the backstop has now launched three homers over his past two contests. Susac had 18 home runs across 96 games in Triple-A last season, so the sudden homer surge isn't entirely incomprehensible. With that said, his StatCast power metrics are all below league average, so fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect Susac to turn into the second coming of Mike Piazza.

Smacks first two homers
Susac went 2-for-4 with two home runs, four total RBI and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 16-3 win over the Brewers.
Analiz
After going 131 plate appearances without a homer to start his big-league career, Susac put the Giants ahead in the second inning Wednesday with a three-run blast off Thomas Pannone before adding a second long ball in the eighth. It was a much-needed breakout game for the rookie backstop, who'd gone just 2-for-23 over his previous 12 games while losing out on playing time to Drew Cavanaugh. Overall, Susac is slashing .256/.306/.372 with 19 RBI, nine runs scored and two steals across 136 plate appearances this season.

Sitting again Monday
Susac is not in the Giants' starting lineup against the Brewers on Monday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analiz
Susac will be idle for a second consecutive game while Jesus Rodriguez starts behind home plate and bats ninth while forming a battery with right-hander Tyler Mahle. Since the All-Star break, Susac has gone 2-for-14 with one steal and one RBI.

Taking seat Sunday
Susac is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Analiz
After starting in the Giants' previous two contests, Susac will head to the bench for the series finale while Drew Cavanaugh gets the nod behind the plate. Susac and Cavanaugh are likely to continue sharing most of the playing time at catcher, with Jesus Rodriguez seeing occasional reps as a third option at the position.
