Carries offense in Wednesday's win

Stott went 2-for-3 with a walk, a three-run home run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Marlins.

Analiz

The second baseman capped a four-run fourth inning for the Phillies by launching a first-pitch fastball from Adam Mazur over the fence in right-center field. Stott ended a 26-game homer drought with the blast, a stretch in which he slashed just .181/.238/.202 with three RBI and seven runs. On the season, the 27-year-old sports a career-worst .642 OPS with five homers, 12 steals, 30 RBI and 32 runs in 68 contests.

Good to go Tuesday

Stott (elbow) is starting at second base and batting sixth Tuesday against the Marlins, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analiz

Stott suffered a hyperextended elbow during Monday's win against the Marlins but is back in the starting nine for Tuesday's contest. The 27-year-old has struggled at the plate so far in June, as he's batting .146 (7-for-46) with one extra-base hit in 14 games.

Dealing with hyperextended elbow

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Stott suffered a hyperextended elbow on a swing during Monday's 5-2 win over the Marlins, John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Analiz

Thomson added that Stott could sit out Tuesday's contest, but the Phillies' second baseman doesn't appear to be dealing with a long-term injury concern. Stott went 1-for-4 with a double in Monday's contest and is slashing .236/.300/.329 with four home runs, 27 RBI, 31 runs scored and 11 stolen bases across 271 plate appearances on the season.
