Managers, a few weeks ago we revealed the Sorare 27 gameplay, structured into three distinct game modes, with a smoother experience and a season where performance pays off for real. (Missed it? The full gameplay blog is right here.)

Today, we complete the picture. Everything you need to walk into the new season fully prepared is below:

  • The full competition structure, including a couple of newcomers…
  • The complete prize pool breakdown
  • A few improvements to what we first announced
  • The Early Access launch calendar
  • And to kick it all off: a major launch reward boost for the season start

Let’s dive in.

What’s New Since Part 1

When we published the Part 1 gameplay announcement, we held back the full competition structure for one reason: we were deep in conversations with new partners, and we wanted the final structure to reflect their arrival.

These partnerships, our gameplay design, and our prize pools are all connected, and each moves on its own clock. But we didn’t want to keep you waiting, so we shared as much as we could, including the full prize pools for our six main competitions. To do that, we had to make some assumptions about which deals would land, and hold some budget back until they were confirmed. Thanks for bearing with us while the pieces fell into place.

As it turns out, one partnership we’d expected to land won’t happen for Sorare 27, but don’t worry, others have come through. That frees up some budget we anticipated, and we’re putting it straight back into your season: acting on some of the feedback from the first announcement, and pushing the start of the season even harder, with bigger launch boosts than we’d originally planned (more on those at the end of this blog).

Here’s what’s changing versus the announcement Part 1:

  • Deeper Rare Arena rewards. We’ve reworked the Rare Arena prize pools, reorganizing them and adding extra budget, while keeping the top prizes intact. More Managers now land cash* on the Rare leaderboards, and we’ve significantly widened the band of Managers winning Essence too. In the top competitions, cash* pays down to the top 150–200, and Essence to the top 500-550.
  • Rare Classic reward bonus in Pro mode. Play a Classic Rare card in a Pro lineup and it now gets a 5% reward bonus, 10% if it’s your captain. (Reminder: In-Season Rare cards get 15%, or 40% for an In-Season Rare captain.)
  • Jupiler Pro League Arena prize pools. We’ve reviewed and raised them across every scarcity.
  • Lower point targets on two of our biggest boards: We’re dropping the Step 5 target on the Bundesliga and LALIGA EA SPORTS Pro boards from 450 to 440 points.
  • Bigger launch boosts. We’re increasing the launch promos originally planned across the board, and, for the very first time, running a launch boost in Super Rare & Unique (details at the end).

Sorare 27 Competition Structure

On Sorare 27, you’ll find most of the leagues & players you played on Sorare 26, plus a couple of exciting new additions to the roster.

Liga Portugal joins Sorare 🇵🇹

For the first time, the Portuguese top flight arrives on Sorare, through a partnership directly with the league and clubs, which lets us welcome a first wave of Portuguese clubs, with hopefully more to join before the season kicks off. Liga Portugal is one of European football’s great talent factories, the stage where future global superstars announce themselves before the rest of the world comes calling. It’s defined by a fierce rivalry between some of the continent’s most storied clubs, a regular presence in the knockout rounds of European competition, and football that’s as technical as the atmosphere is electric. Now it’s yours to collect, play, and compete with.

Here are the clubs confirmed so far, with more expected very soon:

  • FC Porto
  • SL Benfica
  • Sporting CP
  • FC Alverca
  • Casa Pia AC
  • Estoril Praia
  • Estrela Amadora
  • Académico de Viseu
  • FC Famalicão

The English second division players join Sorare a first 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

One of the most dramatic second tiers in world football is coming to Sorare. From rising stars and seasoned veterans to promotion heroes, you’ll be able to collect their cards and compete with them in dedicated Sorare competitions. With relentless week-to-week competition, a play-off stage, and the unique tension of a promotion race that goes right to the wire, every matchday brings new opportunities. And with 46 matchdays, more than any other competition on Sorare, it means more football to play, more challenges to overcome, and more chances to win all season long.

A quick note on this one. It’s a new type of partnership with the international players’ association, the same model you saw on the Colors Set for certain countries. That means the cards feature real players, premium cards. They unlock the full Sorare gameplay experience, exactly like any other league, same scoring, same competitions, same rewards.

The English top flight players on Sorare 27 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

You’ll keep playing English top-flight players on Sorare 27, with dedicated competitions, with their own Hot Streaks, Arenas and the best prize pools, now through a deal with the international players’ association. Real players, premium cards, same gameplay.

We have developed an amazing relationship with the PL, we are working towards a new agreement. While the process may take some time, we’re excited to move forward for the 26-27 season with the international players’ association, enabling us to deliver full UK coverage for both the 1st and 2nd division player cohorts.

Our commitment to offering a premium product built on official licenses remains intact, and we’ve recently renewed long-term partnerships with major organisations like PSG, the Bundesliga and many more.

Ligue 1 is now complete on Sorare 27 🇫🇷

We’re thrilled to confirm that the full Ligue 1 will be on Sorare 27. Last season, one club was missing, this time, you’ll have all 18 teams, including two newcomers: ESTAC Troyes and Le Mans FC.

The Ligue 2 clubs on Sorare 27 🇫🇷

On Sorare 27, you’ll be able to play with three Ligue 2 clubs: AS Saint-Étienne, Grenoble Foot 38, and FC Nantes.

J.League’s new format arrives on Sorare 27 🇯🇵

As we shared in our winter announcement, J.League has moved to a new calendar. At the time, we covered their transition tournament without yet knowing whether we’d be able to bring the league to Sorare 27 for its new season. We’re happy to confirm that we will: new Sorare 27 In-Season cards will launch as planned, and J.League keeps a dedicated competition (more below).

Update on Turkish and Danish clubs

Turkish and Danish clubs won’t be licensed on Sorare at the Sorare 27 launch. As much as we value these partnerships, we weren’t able to land terms for the new season that fit the Sorare 27 gameplay. We’re keeping the conversations going, with the aim of welcoming them back in the future.

(You’ll still be able to use your Turkish and Danish Classic cards, see competition structure, below.)

Competitions overview

On Sorare 27, more leagues and player pools are celebrated with their own dedicated competitions. Whether a player cohort or a league has one comes down to the league, the game mode, and the scarcity, so here’s how it breaks down by scarcity.

Limited & Rare

Dedicated competitions — in Pro mode and the Limited & Rare Arenas:

  • English League
  • Ligue 1
  • LALIGA EA SPORTS
  • Bundesliga
  • Liga Portugal
  • Eredivisie
  • Jupiler Pro League
  • Scottish Premiership
  • J.League
  • English second division

Contender — the grouped competition, available in both Pro mode (with dedicated Hot Streaks) and the Limited & Rare Arenas. It brings together:

  • Austrian Bundesliga
  • Croatian HNL
  • 2. Bundesliga
  • Ligue 2 clubs

Because Contender is the only Pro mode competition that groups several leagues, its step clock follows a tailored rule: it’s set to the latest next matchday end among those leagues.

For example: say the Austrian Bundesliga, Croatian HNL, and 2. Bundesliga all end their next matchday on Sunday the 7th, while the next Ligue 2 matchday ends on Monday the 15th. If you start a Contender step on Friday the 5th, your step clock runs until Monday the 15th, right after the last Ligue 2 match. The clock always follows the latest following matchday end across these four leagues.

These are deliberately flexible rules, built to give you plenty of time to play and climb your streaks.
Only those 4 licensed leagues are considered to set the step clock.

Super Rare & Unique

Dedicated Arena competitions:

  • English League
  • Ligue 1
  • LALIGA EA SPORTS
  • Bundesliga
  • Liga Portugal
  • Eredivisie
  • Jupiler Pro League

Rest of the World — the grouped Arena competition. In Super Rare & Unique, these leagues come together:

  • Scottish Premiership
  • English second division
  • J.League
  • Austrian Bundesliga
  • Croatian HNL
  • 2. Bundesliga
  • Ligue 2 clubs

You’ll also still be able to play Classic cards from other leagues covered by Sorare scoring (powered by Opta), Turkey, Denmark, Serie A, Brazil, Russia, Serie B, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, LALIGA 2 and more, in the Classic slot of your In-Season Contender and Rest of the World lineups.

MLS & K League

MLS and K League are, of course, also available, running under the Sorare 26 gameplay. With the navigation rework, their Hot Streaks and Arena competitions will both be accessible under the Arena mode during the transition.

Prize Pools

You’ll find the full breakdown of every Sorare 27 prize pool, across all the competitions above, right here.

As mentioned earlier, we’ve made a few changes to what was originally announced for the first six confirmed competitions. Below are the final, updated prize pools for all Sorare 27 competitions.

You can enter up to 4 lineups in all In-Season and Classic Arenas

One addition worth flagging: we’ve added XP rewards to the In-Season Arena leaderboards. And on Pro Hot Streaks, XP will also be available as a reward-choice option instead of Essence on the first step.

Please note: the Liga Portugal prize pools may still be adjusted based on the final number of confirmed clubs, particularly on the Essence side, to match the total player supply.

With prize pools spanning every competition, scarcity and mode, the full breakdown has its own dedicated blog:

Here are the examples of our top competitions’ prize pools:

Pro Mode:

Arena Mode:

Launch Reward Boosts — Off to a Flying Start

Sorare 27 opens with a bang. We’re kicking off the season with major temporary boosts on both sides of the game: bigger Hot Streak rewards in Pro mode, and bigger leaderboard rewards in the Arena. And thanks to the budget we’ve reallocated, we’re going further than ever, with a launch boost in Super Rare & Unique for the very first time.

Pro Mode — 2X & 3X Boost

For every competition available in Pro mode, rewards are boosted throughout its first 4 matchdays, except Contender, which works a little differently (more on that below).

On each board, the first 4 steps are boosted 2X, and the last 2 steps, the biggest rewards, are boosted 3X.

  • Up to $6,000* if you complete the English streak with Limited cards alone
    • And up to $30,000* if you clear the bonus Kings’ step during this window
  • Up to $12,000* if you complete it with a full Rare In-Season lineup
    • And up to $60,000* if you clear the bonus Kings’ step during this window

And remember: with anytime entry, you can move fast and clear several steps in a single matchday. Wait for the confirmed lineups, dodge the DNPs, and stack your chances of clearing each step.

Contender: the boost starts on the July 31 – August 4 weekend, when the first Contender league gets underway, and runs for the following three weekends, through the August 21 – 25 weekend (included). There are always Contender matches on these weekends, just keep in mind that not every Contender league plays on every one of them.

Here are the boosted Hot Streaks for our main competitions (you’ll find every boosted prize pool in the dedicated prize pool blog):

Arena — 2X Boost

For the first time, we’re boosting the In-Season leaderboards across all three scarcities, including Super Rare & Unique. 2X for the first 2 Game Weeks of each competition. One twist: the Rest of the World leaderboard in Super Rare & Unique is boosted 3X for a single Game Week instead.

  • Limited: e.g. $5,000* for 1st place in the English Arena.
  • Rare: e.g. $10,000* for 1st place in the English Arena.
  • Super Rare & Unique: up to $50,000* for 1st place in the English Arena with a five-Unique In-Season lineup.

Because Contender combines several leagues, its 2X boost starts on the first Game Week when every league in the grouping has a matchday, the August 7–11 Game Week, when Ligue 2 and 2. Bundesliga resume.

And in Super Rare & Unique, the Rest of the World leaderboard gets its 3X boost on the August 28 – September 1 Game Week, the first with every league in the grouping in action.

One scheduling note on LALIGA EA SPORTS: its matchday 1 may be split across two Game Weeks, as some players become available late over the summer. If so, we’ll make sure the 2X boost applies to the first two complete Game Weeks.

Here are the boosted Arenas for our main competitions (you’ll find every boosted prize pool in the dedicated prize pool blog):

Card Launches & Early Access

We confirm that Early Access cards are returning for Sorare 27. Cards for each competition will be available before the start of its season.

Early Access drops will roll out gradually. You’ll find the full card launch calendar below, please note it may be subject to small adjustments.

Essence Conversion

As announced in our winter gameplay announcement, your Sorare 26 Essence will convert to Sorare 27 Essence using a degressive formula. The transition happens on Monday, July 20th, and you can simulate your conversion here. Two things to note: MLS and K League Essence won’t convert, as those leagues are mid-season, same for your Global Cup Essence which will become Sorare 27 All-Star Essence.

Challenger Essence:

The Challenger competition isn’t part of the Sorare 27 structure, so your Challenger-flavoured Essence will convert to Sorare 27 Neutral Essence

Unique Essence:

As we shared in the Part 1 gameplay announcement, and following a review and a number of conversations with our Unique Managers, Unique Essence is being removed from prize pools and from crafting. Going forward, Managers competing in Unique Classic competitions can win cash*, market credits, and Super Rare Essence. The Unique Essence you already hold will be converted into Super Rare Essence.

This is part of the global Essence transition on Monday, July 20th. Concretely, for Unique Essence:

  • Your Sorare 26 Unique Essence first converts to Sorare 27 Unique Essence, using that same formula.
  • Your Sorare 27 Unique Essence then converts to Super Rare Sorare 27 Essence, multiplied by 5 (every 1 Unique Essence becomes 5 Super Rare Essence).
  • Your All-Star Unique Essence converts to Neutral Essence, so it doesn’t dilute your Super Rare Essence.
  • Your Unique Clues convert to Super Rare Clues, doubled in quantity. If balance exceeds the cap after a conversion, we will keep all clues, but you will need to use some to drop below the cap before you can get new ones.

Note that crafting will be paused for maintenance while the transition takes place. We’ll communicate the exact duration in advance.

See You on the Pitch

That’s the full picture. New leagues, new player pools, a complete competition structure, prize pools across every scarcity, and launch boosts to make the opening weeks unforgettable.

The countdown is almost over. Get your squad ready.

See you on the pitch, Managers.

*Rewards are displayed in USD equivalent for reference and offered in cash (subject to activation of a Cash Wallet), SOL, ETH or other digital assets of equivalent value. Eligible users may be offered the choice of receiving Essence as an alternative to any advertised reward. Restrictions may apply, subject to applicable laws.
