Nursing Grade 1 hamstring strain
Frelick was diagnosed Wednesday with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Frelick injured his hamstring Sunday in the Brewers' final game before the All-Star break. The Brewers will give Frelick a couple more days to recover before deciding ahead of Friday's game in Los Angeles whether to place him on the 10-day injured list. If Frelick requires a trip to the IL, Blake Perkins is a candidate to be called up from Triple-A Nashville to replace Frelick on the active roster.

Frelick (hamstring) is undergoing additional imaging, including an MRI, after Sunday's 8-1 win over the Nationals, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Frelick was removed from Sunday's contest with left hamstring discomfort in the top of the third inning after making a sliding catch in right field. After the game, manager Pat Murphy said that it "hurts his heart" to see one of his favorite players go down. He ultimately required assistance off the field from a team trainer and was replaced in the outfield by Isaac Collins. The Brewers should have more information on the nature of Frelick's injury later Sunday, but the 25-year-old's availability for the start of Milwaukee's second-half schedule is now in question.
