Young (quad) won't play Thursday versus the Pistons.
Análise
This will be Young's second straight game on the sidelines, and with Saturday's game versus the Thunder being the first of a back-to-back, it seems likely that Young will miss at least one more game. Bub Carrington should continue to start while Young is out, and there will be more minutes available for Jaden Hardy.

Young will be sidelined for the second half of Washington's back-to-back set after leaving Monday's loss to the Warriors early following a collision with Will Richard. Young was able to leave under his own power, but the Wizards are expected to be extremely cautious with their new point guard the rest of the way. His next chance to suit up will come Thursday in a rematch against Detroit.

After a collision with Will Richard, Young hobbled off to the locker room at the 7:53 mark of the third quarter. The guard was able to walk off under his own power but will not return to Monday's contest due to a right quad contusion. His next chance to play will come Tuesday against the Pistons, though it's unlikely the 27-year-old suits up for the second half of the back-to-back.

Young checked out of Saturday's contest with 3:10 remaining in the third and immediately went back to the locker room. It's unclear why the star guard headed to the back, though he can be considered questionable to return until more information comes to light. He has already logged 24 minutes Saturday -- his highest mark with Washington thus far -- so it wouldn't be shocking if he doesn't return.

Efficient shooting numbers
Young finished Thursday's 136-131 overtime loss to the Magic with 15 points (5-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and six assists in 21 minutes.
Análise
Young has played just three games with the Wizards this season, and while his numbers remain subpar for his standards, at least he was efficient in this OT loss. Perhaps the most encouraging tidbit out of this game is the fact that he played more than 20 minutes for the first time since joining Washington. However, he'll likely remain limited down the stretch, with the Wizards having nothing to play for except lottery odds.
