Watson (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Warriors.

Watson sat out of Wednesday's matchup against the Spurs while dealing with right knee inflammation, but he'll have a chance to take the court Friday. Denver will presumably monitor him closely in shootaround before providing an update on his availability.

Watson will join the entire Nuggets' starting five in street clothes Wednesday. The 22-year-old is battling right knee inflammation. Expect Hunter Tyson, Spencer Jones and Vlatko Cancar to see plenty of action. Watson's next chance to play will come Friday at Golden State.

The absence of Watson would leave the Nuggets extremely thin on the frontcourt, as head coach Michael Malone already announced he will sit all five of his usual starters. If Watson ends up being ruled out, Hunter Tyson and Spencer Jones would be in line to see more minutes.

Watson logged 45 minutes during Tuesday's 140-139 overtime loss to Minnesota, and now he could be held out for maintenance for the second leg of this back-to-back set. The Nuggets could end up being extremely shorthanded, as Nikola Jokic (ankle), Jamal Murray (hamstring), Michael Porter (personal), Aaron Gordon (calf) and Christian Braun (foot) are also carrying questionable tags.

Three more blocks in Friday's start
Watson produced eight points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal over 27 minutes during Friday's 129-93 victory over the Jazz.

With Jamal Murray (hamstring) sidelined, Watson got the start and once again made an impact at the defensive end of the court, recording multiple blocks for the fourth straight game. Despite his 6-foot-7 stature, the third-year forward has been an impressive source of rejections since returning from a knee sprain that cost him all of February and the first game of March. Over his last 11 appearances, Watson has averaged 10.2 points, 3.9 boards, 2.1 blocks, 1.5 assists and 1.0 threes in 26.1 minutes a contest while shooting 53.0 percent from the floor and 47.8 percent from long distance.
