To miss at least two games
The Hawks are considering Okongwu day-to-day after he underwent a successful dental procedure Thursday morning.
Análise
Okongwu has already been ruled out for Thursday night's matchup against the Rockets, but this bodes well for his future availability. That said, the Hawks are taking a slightly cautious approach and will hold out the big man at least for Saturday's tilt in Indiana as well, per Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network. Okongwu's next chance to play now comes Tuesday in Miami.

Ruled out Thursday
Okongwu (face) will not play Thursday against Houston.
Análise
Okongwu left Wednesday's game early with a facial contusion, which has since been updated to a dental fracture. It remains to be seen if this will also sideline him Saturday against the Pacers. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see how much the Hawks utilize Christian Koloko and Mouhamed Gueye at center.

The Hawks are calling Okongwu's injury a facial contusion, but he's got some busted teeth as well after taking an elbow to the face from Jaylen Brown. Okongwu will end his evening with 17 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and two turnovers across 29 minutes, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Thursday's game versus the Rockets.

Headed to locker room
Okongwu (teeth) exited to the locker room during Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Análise
Okongwu got popped in the mouth by Jaylen Brown as the latter was making a move to the hoop, and Okongwu had a couple of teeth pushed back. He'll likely need some dental work and should be considered questionable to return.

Double-double in win over Indiana
Okongwu logged 12 points (5-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block in 31 minutes during Monday's 132-116 win over the Pacers.
Análise
The 25-year-old center produced his 11th double-double of the season and his first since Jan. 11. Okongwu has struggled to make a consistent impact on the glass in January, pulling down double-digit boards just four times in 12 games, and on the month he's averaging 15.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.3 threes, 1.8 steals and 0.8 blocks.

Paces Atlanta in win
Okongwu finished Friday's 110-103 win over the Suns with 25 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

Okongwu turned in another efficient performance en route to a team-high 25 points, and he knocked down at least three triples for the fourth time in his last five outings. After finishing with four points on 0-of-6 shooting from the field in Monday's loss to Milwaukee, the big man has totaled 43 points while shooting 60.0 percent from the field over his last two games. He has reached the 20-point mark in two of his last five appearances, during which he has averaged 18.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals in 33.6 minutes per game.
