Crashes back to earth in loss
Diawara accumulated six points (2-5 FG, 2-5 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in six minutes during Wednesday's 134-132 loss to San Antonio.
Análise
Diawara remained in the starting lineup, although he was unable to repeat his 18-point performance from two days earlier. At this point, Diawara is merely a placeholder until Josh Hart (ankle) is cleared to return, which could be as soon as Friday against the Hawks. Managers need not concern themselves with Diawara, outside of the deepest leagues.

Surprises with 18 points
Diawara finished Monday's 130-125 win over the Pelicans with 18 points (7-9 FG, 4-4 3Pt), one rebound and two steals over 18 minutes.
Análise
Diawara put up a career-high 18 points in the win. The Frenchman poured in 13 points in the first quarter and eventually cooled off, but it was an encouraging performance for the 2025 second-round pick. Miles McBride was cleared to play and came off the bench, and Josh Hart (ankle) could return to action soon, so Diawara's time in the rotation may be short-lived.

Starting Saturday
Diawara will start against the Hawks on Saturday, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports.
Análise
With Josh Hart (ankle) joining Miles McBride (ankle) and Landry Shamet (shoulder) on the sidelines, Diawara will get the starting nod for the second time this season. The rookie second-rounder last started in a win over the Pacers on Dec. 18, during which he posted five points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes.
