After missing the front end of this back-to-back set Thursday, Towns is expected back in the lineup. Presumably, the Knicks were just being cautious with Towns following their NBA Cup run. With Towns expected back, Ariel Hukporti will likely slide back to the bench after logging 27 minutes Thursday.

Towns will miss his second matchup of December, this time due to a knee injury he picked up during Tuesday's game against the Spurs. The Knicks are decimated without Towns, Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and Josh Hart (abdomen), so it'll be up to the likes of Guerschon Yabusele, Ariel Hukporti, Jordan Clarkson and Pacome Dadiet to step up in the frontcourt.

Towns finished Tuesday's 124-113 victory over San Antonio with 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals over 30 minutes.
Análise
Towns recorded his 19th double-double of the season, although he appeared to suffer an injury during the game. While he was able to close the game, he remained on the bench until late in the fourth quarter, working on what seemed to be a calf issue. While there has been no official word from the team, fantasy managers will want to keep a close eye on the injury report, especially seeing as though Towns has been dealing with calf issues for the past few weeks.

After shooting just 4-for-11 from the field in Tuesday's win over Toronto, Towns bounced back with an extremely efficient performance against Orlando. The star big man totaled 32 points in his previous two outings, though he dropped at least 29 points for the third time in five appearances during December on Saturday. He has averaged 25.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals across 32.4 minutes per tilt this month.
