Golden State assigned Kuminga to the G League's Santa Cruz Warriors on Wednesday, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Kuminga is currently without a timetable to return and the Warriors would like to see him get through a scrimmage before giving him the green light to suit up. He's not expected to see any live reps with Santa Cruz, to be clear.

No timetable for return
Head coach Steve Kerr said Sunday that Kuminga (knee) didn't participate much in practice, and he isn't sure when the forward will play next, Sam Gordon of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. He has also been ruled out for Monday's game against the Jazz, according to Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Kuminga will miss his sixth consecutive game due to bilateral knee tendinitis, and Kerr said he's "not moving well," per Joseph Dycus of The Mercury News. Hoping to practice Sunday
Kuminga (knee) is going through an on-court workout Friday, and head coach Steve Kerr said the hope is Kuminga will be able to practice Sunday, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.

Kuminga has missed five consecutive contests due to bilateral knee tendinitis, and if he's able to participate in Sunday's practice, a return for Monday's game would be more plausible. He's averaging 13.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists over 27.7 minutes per game this season.
