Benched down the stretch
Collins recorded eight points (3-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two steals and three turnovers in 24 minutes during Friday's 133-127 double overtime win over Dallas.
Análise
While Collins has been starting the past three games, he hasn't done much with the opportunity, posting meager averages of 6.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 1.0 block per game. Collins was benched down the stretch of this one, and didn't make a single appearance during either overtime period, so it'll be interesting to see if he sticks as a starter for Sunday's game in Boston.

Collins will move into the starting lineup in Monday's game against the Hawks, Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com reports.

Per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said that he'll be sticking with Collins in the starting lineup "for a while," so this is more than a matchup-based decision. Collins is coming off a 19-point performance, and he's capable of providing top-40 numbers when given the minutes, so it looks like he'll be rewarding those who stayed patient with him through the slow start.

Pops for season-high 19 off bench
Collins provided 19 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 114-103 loss to Phoenix.
Análise
The 19 points were a season high for Collins, as he continues to adapt to a role on the Clippers' second unit. The veteran big has scored in double digits in eight of nine games to begin the season, averaging 13.3 points, 4.9 boards, 1.1 threes, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 24.7 minutes a contest while shooting an impressive 56.6 percent from the floor and 45.5 percent (10-for-22) from beyond the arc.
