Análise
Murray has a mild left ankle sprain, but it sounds like he intends to play through it. Sunday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set, however, so this is something to monitor in case a maintenance day is needed.

As expected, Murray has been upgraded from probable to available and will suit up for a 25th straight game. With Nikola Jokic (knee), Aaron Gordon (hamstring), Christian Braun (ankle) and Cameron Johnson (knee) all sidelined, Murray is the lone Opening Night starter still healthy and will take all the usage he can handle against Cleveland.

Murray struggled from the field during Wednesday's win, but he still finished as the Nuggets' second-leading scorer while dishing out a team-high six assists. It was his first game without Nikola Jokic (knee) this season, and Murray should continue to serve as the focal point of the Nuggets' offense for as long as Jokic is sidelined. Murray finished the month of December having averaged 26.5 points, 7.4 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 threes and 1,0 steals over 35.1 minutes per game.

Double-double vs. Miami
Murray tallied 20 points (9-21 FG, 2-6 3Pt), 11 assists, six rebounds and one steal over 35 minutes during the Nuggets' 147-123 loss to the Heat on Monday.
Análise
Murray finished Monday's game as the Nuggets' leader in assists and second in points behind Nikola Jokic, the latter of whom left late in the second quarter due to a knee injury. It was Murray's eighth double-double of the regular season, three of which have come over his last four outings. Of concern for the Nuggets is Jokic's knee injury, and if the three-time MVP were to miss time, Murray would be the one to take on the responsibility of running Denver's offense.

Scores 24 despite shooting woes
Murray finished Saturday's 127-126 loss to the Magic with 24 points (9-21 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes.
Análise
Murray didn't have his best shooting performance in this loss, as he needed 21 shots to record 24 points, but even when considering the lack of efficiency, the star floor general continues to post excellent numbers. Murray has scored at least 24 points in each of his last four games, and he's cleared the 30-point plateau in four of his previous seven. Even if the Nuggets are a bit depleted in terms of depth, Murray continues to deliver excellent numbers across the board and is making a strong case to be an All-Star.
