Brunson recorded 24 points (8-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-7 FT), six rebounds and seven assists across 42 minutes during Sunday's 110-97 loss to the Lakers.
Análise
After scoring a combined 25 points over the prior two games, Brunson returned to his usual level of offense, although he did see his streak of three straight games with double-digit assists come to an end. In 10 games since the All-Star break, the 29-year-old point guard is averaging 21.8 points, 8.4 assists, 4.0 boards and 2.3 threes.

Análise
While the All-Star point guard left the scoring to his teammates, Brunson's 15 assists tied his season high -- a mark he'd established just two days prior against the Thunder. Over his last 12 games, Brunson is averaging 22.8 points, 8.1 assists, 3.8 boards and 2.5 threes.

Double-doubles in loss
Brunson recorded 16 points (5-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, 15 assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 103-100 loss to the Thunder.
Análise
Brunson had a tough time finding the bottom of the net with Cason Wallace draped all over him for most of the night, but he still shined as a playmaker and knocked down some big shots late to keep it close. The Knicks had a chance to tie it in the final seconds of regulation, but Brunson's three-pointer was just off the mark, and OG Anunoby's last-second heave also clanked off the rim. The Knicks haven't beaten the Thunder at Madison Square Garden since 2017.

Brunson (leg) returned to Wednesday's game against the Thunder with 5:12 remaining in the third quarter, per the broadcast.
Análise
Brunson limped to the locker room with 7:22 left in the third. However, the star point guard returned to the bench shortly thereafter and appears to be good to go for the remainder of the contest after checking back in.

Brunson limped back to the locker room during Wednesday's game with an apparent leg injury, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
Análise
Brunson may have taken some damage attempting to draw a charge, and for now, he should be considered questionable to return. If Brunson needs to miss time, that would open up minutes for Jose Alvarado.
