Ejected, earns one-game ban
Edwards amassed 18 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal in 26 minutes before getting ejected with 5:27 remaining in third quarter of Thursday's 111-102 loss after picking up his second technical foul of the game.

Edwards threw the ball in the stands as he exited the court following his second technical. If the two technicals are upheld, Edwards will have accrued 16 total technicals for the season, triggering an automatic one-game suspension that would prevent him from playing Friday in Utah. Will play Thursday

Edwards was a game-time decision due to right calf soreness, but the Timberwolves have upgraded him to available Thursday. The star guard should be able to handle a normal workload against Los Angeles. Over his last eight games, Edwards has averaged 33.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 37.3 minutes.

Edwards is listed as questionable, but before Wednesday's practice, head coach Chris Finch said he expects the star guard to suit up Thursday. In six contests since sitting out due to hip soreness, Edwards has averaged 29.7 points, 7.8 boards, 5.0 assists, 4.0 threes and 1.3 steals, so injuries aren't slowing him down this season.

Sniffs triple-double in OT win
Edwards recorded 17 points (5-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-10 FT), 13 rebounds, eight assists and one block over 36 minutes during Monday's 131-128 overtime victory over the Thunder.

While he racked up big numbers in other categories, it was his one block that was the biggest play of the night -- Edwards rejected a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander three-point attempt with 2.2 seconds left in OT that could have tied the game. While the double-double was Edwards' second straight and fifth of the season, the 17 points represented his first time falling short of 20 since Jan. 11, snapping a stretch of 18 straight appearances. After sitting out All-Star Weekend to tend to a minor hip issue, Edwards looked fine in his first game after the break. The fifth-year guard has scored at least 20 points in 17 straight appearances, averaging 32.6 points, 6.1 boards, 5.2 assists, 4.3 threes, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks over that stretch.
