Records another double-double
Thompson had 26 points (11-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals over 42 minutes during Wednesday's 124-116 loss to the Lakers.
Análise
This was Thompson's third consecutive double-double, and the second over that span in which he surpassed the 20-point plateau. The versatile guard, who has adjusted well to life as the Rockets' starting point guard in the absence of Fred VanVleet (knee), has been excellent on offense of late and has scored in double digits in each of his last 10 games, averaging 21.6 points per game over that stretch.

Logs double-double in defeat
Thompson finished Monday's 100-92 loss to the Lakers with 19 points (8-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one block across 41 minutes.
Análise
Although Thompson finished with a quality line, Alperen Sengun's (back) absence had a significant impact on Houston's effectiveness on both sides of the ball. Thompson has played solid ball over the past five games, averaging 20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists.

Sniffs triple-double
Thompson closed Friday's 107-105 win over the Pelicans with 23 points (7-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 12 rebounds, eight assists and one steal across 40 minutes.
Análise
Thompson had an impressive performance on both ends of the court and finished just two assists away from recording what would've been his first triple-double of the season. The star guard is an outstanding two-way presence for Houston and is averaging 18.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.8 steals per contest since the All-Star break.
