Langford gave the Rangers the lead in the fourth with an RBI double before providing some insurance with a solo homer in the eighth. The 24-year-old has played well since returning from the injured list June 5, hitting .288 with seven extra-base hits, seven RBI, nine runs scored and a stolen base across 13 games. For the year, he's slashing .258/.300/.447 with five home runs, 11 RBI, 18 runs scored and four steals over 140 plate appearances.

Langford gave Texas its first run with a leadoff homer in the sixth inning for his second long ball in the past four games. His tepid start coming off the injured list in early June has given way to surge of offense. Langford has hit safely in five of the last six contests, slashing .375/.400/.667 with four RBI and four runs during that stretch.

Langford recorded multiple hits for the second straight game, going 5-for-9 with a double and two RBI in the first two games of the series in Boston. It appears the outfielder needed some time to adjust to pitching following a six-week layoff on the injured list. Langford went 3-for-23 (.130) over his first six games off the IL prior to his two-game rebound this weekend.
