Homers in loss
Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the White Sox.
Análise
Perez singled in the second inning and later put the Tigers on the board with a solo shot in the seventh. The 25-year-old has been on a tear since returning from the injured list May 27, slashing .323/.364/.710 with three homers, three doubles, four RBI and seven runs across just 33 plate appearances. However, he may not be an everyday presence in the lineup given Detroit's strong complement of outfielders.

Starting Wednesday after all
Perez is starting in right field and batting fifth against the White Sox on Wednesday.
Análise
Perez was initially omitted from Wednesday's lineup, but the 25-year-old will start after Kerry Carpenter was scratched due to right hamstring tightness. Perez has gone 7-for-23 (.304) with two home runs and three RBI since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list May 27.

Heading to bench Wednesday
Perez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
Análise
Since returning from the injured list May 27 to make his season debut, Perez has now started in six of the Tigers' eight games, with both of his absences coming against left-handed starting pitchers. Though Perez has gotten off to a nice start with seven hits -- including two home runs and two doubles -- in 23 at-bats, his playing time versus right-handed pitching could become more sporadic after the Tigers welcomed Parker Meadows back from the IL this week. Meadows and Riley Greene should be locked into everyday roles in center field and left field, respectively, against right-handed pitching, which leaves Perez to contend with Kerry Carpenter, Spencer Torkelson and Colt Keith for one of three lineup spots at designated hitter, first base and in right field.

Homers again Monday
Perez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 13-1 win over the White Sox.
Análise
Perez has now appeared in six contests since coming off the injured list, and he's been an impact player with a .316 batting average, 1.087 OPS and two home runs. The outfielder had nine home runs all of last year across 112 regular-season games, so his current pace seems unsustainable, but fantasy managers should enjoy the power surge for however long it lasts.

Not in Sunday's lineup
Perez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Análise
Perez started four straight games after being reinstated from the injured list Tuesday and will receive Sunday off after going 4-for-14 with a double, a solo homer and six strikeouts. Javier Baez is starting in center field for the series finale in Kansas City.

Starting in center again
Perez is starting in center field and batting sixth in Saturday's game against the Royals.
Análise
Since being activated from the injured list Tuesday after missing his team's first 55 games due to back inflammation, Perez is now starting in center for the fourth straight day. Javier Baez filled in well there, but he can also play infield, which is what he is doing Saturday, with Zach McKinstry out of the lineup. Expect Baez to shift between the outfield and infield, giving Perez a path to regular playing time whenever Baez is situated on the diamond.
