Sitting again Monday
Black is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Análise
After hitting the bench for Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Nationals while right-hander Zack Littell served as Washington's primary pitcher, Black will remain out of the starting nine against a righty starter (Kyle Leahy) for the series opener in St. Louis. Since being recalled from Triple-A Nashville on April 24, Black has shined at the plate with nine hits -- including four doubles -- and seven RBI over 21 at-bats, but his pathway to regular playing time appears to have closed with the Brewers bringing Jackson Chourio (hand) and Andrew Vaughn (hand) back from the injured list Monday. Black could be optioned back to Nashville in the coming days if Milwaukee wants him to continue playing on an everyday basis rather than using him in a more limited utility role at the big-league level.

Black will hit the bench for a second straight day, this time sitting against a right-handed primary pitcher in Zack Littell after he was held out of the lineup against lefty Foster Griffin on Saturday. Though he's produced a 1.074 OPS in six games since being called up from Triple-A Nashville on April 24, Black could soon be headed back to the minors with Andrew Vaughn (hand) expected back from the injured list Monday.

Black is not in the Brewers' starting lineup against the Nationals on Saturday.

The Nationals are sending southpaw Foster Griffin to the mound for Saturday's contest, so the lefty-hitting Black will be on the bench for the start of the game while Gary Sanchez serves as the Brewers' designated hitter and bats out of the cleanup spot. Black has gone 9-for-21 (.429) with four doubles and seven RBI since being recalled from Triple-A Nashville in late April.

Drives in three in three-hit night
Black went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 13-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
Análise
Black turned in a strong performance at the plate, recording hits in three straight innings, including a two-run single in the fifth that helped spark Milwaukee's big offensive night. The outing marked his first career multi-RBI game in 26 MLB appearances. Since being recalled, Black has made an immediate impact, going 5-for-13 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored.
