Johnston went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jays.
Análise
The Rockies mustered only six hits as a team in a pitcher's duel this Wednesday, but Johnston got two of them from the leadoff spot and also drove in the team's first run with a single to left field in the top of the eighth inning. Johnston is enjoying a strong start to the season, going hitting .333 with a .933 OPS through his first 16 plate appearances.

Análise
The 28-year-old will stick in the starting nine for a third straight game and will move to the top of the lineup while normal table setter Jake McCarthy receives his first day off of the season. With an .818 OPS through his first four games with Colorado, Johnston appears to have at least temporarily taken control of a regular spot in the lineup against right-handed pitching at the expense of Edouard Julien, who will hit the bench for the third time in four contests.

Análise
Johnston has alternated starts with Jordan Beck in right field to begin the season, and he has also benefited from the absence of Mickey Moniak (finger). Johnston managed his first home run with the Rockies by taking Spencer Miles deep in the sixth inning in Monday's blowout win. His playing time still looks uncertain, though he has started the campaign with three hits across nine plate appearances.
