Losing out on playing time
Johnston is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Análise
The left-handed hitter will be on the bench for the fourth time in five games and has missed out on three starts versus righties during that stretch. With Johnston producing a middling .421 OPS since the All-Star break, the Rockies have opted to rotate a number of players in and out of the lineup in his place.

Tallies two RBI
Johnston went 0-for-2 with two RBI on Friday against the Cardinals.
Análise
Johnston didn't have a great performance, but he did make a pair of productive outs. He grounded out in both the second and fourth innings with a runner on third base, marking his first RBI since July 21. Johnston is hitting just .140 across 14 games since the All-Star break, which has caused him to start losing playing time, as he's appeared in the lineup only 11 times in the team's last 18 contests.

Sitting against RHP again
Johnston is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.
Análise
Since the beginning of July, Johnston has put together a lowly .156/.230/.203 slash line with only three extra-base hits (all doubles). His ongoing struggles at the dish appear to have cost him playing time, as he'll stick on the bench against a right-handed starter for the second straight day. The Rockies will once again go with Jordan Beck as a replacement in the lineup for Johnston, after Beck went 1-for-3 with a triple in Tuesday's 11-inning loss.
