Moves to center field
Troy started in center field and went 0-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's 4-3 win over St. Louis.
Análise
The Diamondbacks have rotated bodies in center field since Jordan Lawlar (hamstring) landed on the injured list. It was Troy's turn Tuesday after Jorge Barrosa and Tim Tawa took turns the last two days. Of the three, Troy has been the most impactful batter and could be the primary center fielder while Lawlar heals. Troy had mainly defended left field, but that's not a full-time option any longer with Lourdes Gurriel back from injury.

Troy started in left field and went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 loss to St. Louis.

Troy crushed a fastball 444 feet to dead center field in the seventh inning, his third homer in 25 games. This was the third consecutive start in left field for Troy, who is in line for a regular role in starting lineups and may eventually see time in center field following the injury to Jordan Lawlar (hamstring). Lourdes Gurriel, who normally starts in left field and recently returned from a stint on the injured list due to a hamstring issue, operated as the DH for the second time in the last three contests.

Troy started the last two games in left field, while Jorge Barrosa replaced the injured Jordan Lawlar (hamstring) in center field, but Troy is considered the better hitter of the two. While he's played some center field in the upper minors and for Arizona, Troy is more comfortable in left. Given that left fielder Lourdes Gurriel is back from injury, finding a home for Troy in center field makes sense.

Troy entered Friday's game as a pinch runner after Jordan Lawlar (hamstring) was removed in the eighth inning. The former did not register a plate appearance but scored a run and finished Arizona's 9-5 win over Minnesota in left field.
Análise
Lawlar, who has been the primary center fielder since coming off the injured list earlier this month, will undergo imaging Saturday and could end up on the IL again, per Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports. Troy has played only in left field since being called up to Arizona but has center-field experience in the minors. If Lawlar misses time, Troy or Jorge Barrosa could defend center field.
