Hinds went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 7-4 extra-inning win over the Twins.
Análise
Hinds gave the Reds a cushion in the top of the 10th inning, when he delivered a two-run double. The outfielder, who was called up from Triple-A Louisville last Tuesday, has had an impact on two consecutive wins. On Saturday, he snapped an 0-for-28 slide in the majors dating back to last season when he drove in a run and scored in a 5-4 win. The righty-batter is sharing right field with Will Benson, and it's not a strict platoon. Four of Hinds' five starts have come against right-handers.

Hitless in debut
Hinds started in right field and went 0-for-3 in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Giants.

Hinds made his season debut for the Reds against San Francisco lefty Robbie Ray. The outfielder was recalled earlier in the day to replace Noelvi Marte, who was optioned to Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move, and Hind is expected to platoon with the lefty-hitting Will Benson in right field. Hinds had a superb spring training, but he spent the first weeks of the season in Louisville, where he had a 1.246 OPS and five home runs over 13 games (61 plate appearances). The biggest adjustment Hinds made is laying off breaking balls lower in the zone, per C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic. As a result, Hinds lowered his strikeout rate from 31.8 percent the last two seasons in the minors to 24.6 percent this year, and his walk rate shot up from 8.2 percent to 19.7 over the same timeframe.

The Reds recalled Hinds from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

Hinds will receive his first call-up of 2026, joining the Reds' 26-man active roster as a replacement for Noelvi Marte, who was optioned to Triple-A on Monday. The promotion comes after Hinds got off to a banner start with Louisville, slashing .354/.475/.771 with five home runs and one stolen base over 61 plate appearances. With Marte out of the picture, Hinds and Will Benson will vie for playing time in right field.
